The Big Bang Theory (A MUST WATCH)

The Big Bang Theory is an American sitcom that follows the lives of five main (and rather geeky but lovable) characters. Roommates Leonard Hofstadter (Experimental Physicist) who has on off relationships with Penny and Priya throughout the four seasons and Sheldon Cooper (Theoretical Physicist) who possesses signs of OCD and loves saying BAZINGA!  whenever he plays a prank or tells a joke . Howard Wolowitz (Aerospace Engineer and the only one out of the five without a Ph-D) who lives with is over bearing annoying mother. Rajesh Koothrappali (Particle Astrophysicist) who lives alone and cannot talk to girls (except his sister Priya) unless he's drunk. Lastly there is Penny who is an aspiring actress and waitress at the cheesecake factor.

Of course the seasons (or series as we say in the UK) contain many other recurring and supporting cast such as Dr. Leslie Winkle, Dr. Bernadette Maryann Rostenkowski, Dr. Amy Farrah Fowler as well as guest appearences from the likes of Will Wheaton (otherwize known as Wesley Crusher on Star Trek: The Next Generation) and a cameo appearance from the one and only Stan Lee.

As you well know (not being mean to America but its true) America tends to churn out a lot of rubbish whether its pointless tv programs based on teenage pregnancy or reality tv shows full of people with stupid names, but once in a while they make fantastic programs full of humour and clever jokes. But The Big Bang Theory is one of those few hidden gems to the UK that you have no chance of seeing unless you start watching E4 (Available on Freeview Channel 29). I is a must watch and you'd be stupid to miss it!

All American Girl By Meg Cabot

I've always loved Meg Cabot as Author. I've worked my way through many of her books from the Princess Diaries series to Avalon High. Her books are enjoyable to read for younger girls up to teenagers. The books are full of situations everyone can relate to sometime in their lives (apart from the princess part or speaking to ghosts) but I love the fact that she makes them seem like they are written by teenagers not a lady who's 10 or 20 years older.

All American Girl follows the story of Sam Madison who is an ordinary girl with two weird sisters, until she stops a crazy psycho fro assassinating the President of America. In an instant Sam becomes a world-wide celebrity. She dines at the White house in dresses but just longs for hamburgers ad combat boots. There is one advantage for throwing yourself in from of a gun ... David the President's son!

The book has 230 pages so is about the length of an average book. I managed to read it in a day and couldn't put it down. I'm not being a hater to the Twilight Saga but I prefer shorter books rather than longer ones (unless it's Harry Potter) but sometimes I think books can have far to much detail and complicated story lines.
